Is Self Hypnosis the Most Successful Self Therapy?
Unfortunately hypnosis has gotten itself a bad reputation, because it attracts a lot of charlatans and snake oil salesmen. Hypnosis has been used in medicine for quite a long time. Surgeons perform even open-heart surgery on patients where using medication to anesthetize them would be dangerous. The only difference between self hypnosis and hypnotherapy done by a practitioner is that you are doing it on yourself.
Oftentimes used as a form of entertainment, stage hypnosis is one of today's most alluring and sought after attraction, but here are some facts of history to give you a clear picture about stage hypnosis. Still, hypnosis is a mystery that have been argued and pondered over by people for the past two hundred years and science is yet to fully explain how hypnosis really works. Self hypnosis is something that you can perform in the privacy of your own home where you can reach a state of optimum relaxation and receptivity to get the beliefs and affirmations that you want into your unconscious/subconscious mind where they will begin to create your life for the better!

It was like there is a hidden wall blocking my way of entering. Do you also encounter the same problem? The person must have a willingness to be hypnotized. The basic premise behind self hypnosis is that you are put into an altered state where your subconscious mind is supposedly more receptive to positive beliefs. The thing about self hypnosis for weight loss is that it goes in assuming that there is some mental reason you can't drop those pounds. You aren't overweight because you think about being overweight, or because you think you can't lose weight — you are overweight because of poor eating and exercise habits.
